The laid back mail carrier with a jacket filled with Black history is being celebrated by thousands of people across the world.

Detroit’s Mike Copeland has delivered mail across the city for 45 years and he’s got the pins to prove it.
I met the well-dressed USPS worker posted up outside of Woodward Coney on my way home from Detroit City Council Tuesday. His bucket hat and USPS tie, pin covered quilted bomber jacket and perfectly fitting trousers stopped me in my tracks.
The west side native agreed to pose for photos.
At the end of our brief conversation, I asked him to share a notable story from his career.
