Former Detroit police chief James Craig, a Republican, is expected to announce he’s running for Detroit mayor Wednesday, March 12.
Craig formed a campaign committee this week, according to Wayne County campaign finance records.
I spoke to Craig’s campaign manager Thursday, Amber Harris, the former executive director of the Oakland County GOP, who worked for Sandy Pensler’s U.S. Senate campaign.
